The code marking of the WAHF series cylindrical reducers contains all the necessary data for the exact identification of the reducer or motor reducer. It is divided into two groups: the first concerns reducers WAHF, and the second - motor reducers WAHF.
Code marking of the WAHF reducer - will be used when ordering a cylindrical reducer WAHF
Code marking of the WAHF motor reducer - will be used when ordering a cylindrical motor reducer WAHF.
The mounting position of the WAHF cylindrical gear unit is important for the correct execution of the order. The design of WAHF cylindrical reducers allows them to be installed in different positions depending on the mechanical needs of the device. All cylindrical reducers delivered to the customer are filled with oil in accordance with the mounting position specified in the order. Before installing the WAHF motor in a position other than the one specified in the order, check the oil demand in the reducer unit in accordance with the operating instructions or the operating and maintenance documentation (DTR documentation).
If the customer has not specified the required mounting position in the order for the motor reducer unit or WAHF reducer unit, this is the default mounting position M1 (B3) and the reducer unit is filled with oil that corresponds to the specified position.
Acceptable mounting positions for WAHF series cylindrical motor reducer
WAHF cylindrical redurcers are designed in such a way that the widest possible range of reducers is available in a compact housing. Depending on the engine power and its mechanical dimensions (IEC housing), a WAHF cylindrical reducer and gear ratio can be selected. Permissible configurations of the electric motor with the WAHF reducer are given in tables below.
Acceptable configurations for WAHF series cylindrical motor reducer
To choose the right motor reducer, follow these steps:
1. Determine the value of the coefficient fs, which is suitable for the device in which the motor reducer will be installed. Specify the load class, the daily operating time of the motor reducer and the estimated number of starts of the motor reducer unit during one hour of its operation. For more information, see the ALU-G Motion motor reducers catalog.
2. If the power and torque requirements of the engine are known, go to the next step.If not, use formulas to determine these parameters - see catalog cards.
3. Select the motor reducer according to the required technical parameters.
An example of choosing a cylindrical motor reducer WAHF.
For the rolling mill you should choose a motor reducer, which works 8 hours / day, the number of starts per hour - 200. The need for engine power P1 = 1.50 kW and torque M2 = 118 Nm is determined. According to the information contained in the catalog cards, the coefficient fs for this program was chosen at the level of fs ≥ 1.75.
The selected gear reducer must have the following technical parameters:
P1 = 1.50 kW
M2 ≥ 118 Nm
fs ≥ 1.75
n2 ≈ 110 rpm
In the above tables with the data of motor reducers, the technical parameters that meet the technical requirements are marked in gray.
